A few questions I hope you could answer

Hello everybody, nice to meet you my name is Shaun, but enough with the introduction, I shall get straight to the point.

Well, I wanted to nlite my SP2 windows xp pro cd however I was having some problems with it for some reason (nothing on google or these forums could help resolve the problem, however i'm sure it was something to do with SP2) so what I did was downloaded a legal version of windows xp pro called winutuxu with SP2 integrated (and was created with nlite I am sure) and it works perfecly, I moded it and tweaked it to a perfect point for me and it's of good use, however I wanted to make it seem as if it was a clean xp (Please do not recommend/tell me how to fix my xp cd I prefer winutuxu to it..) anyway here is the problem, themes!!! No matter what I do I HAVE to have the winutuxu (human) theme =[ I tried removing it and get errors, then I tried using ASR (actual search and replace) and removed all text with ubuntu in it and I still get errors.. If anyone knows what I should do please say.. I can upload all the sif/inf files if you like, anything to get passed this annoyance!

Summery:

How do I completely remove the theme that came with this moded xp version.

HAahahha you can't download a legal version of windows from any other site than MS.

You downloaded warez.

You'll get no help here.

umm, i'm not sure about that.. I own the original xp pro cd.. with serial and everything and genuine, and the one I downloaded from the winuxtuxu or w/e site was genuine and was made by nlite, so in other words, if this is illegal then so is yours for also being made in nlite, I used my windows xp serial with winutuxu because I don't want the plice coming to my door... seriously.

PS: Even if this was warez(Which I can prove it's not), you can't talk, because the majority if not ALL of you are hacking windows files which is probably worst then warez (I think warez means stealing)

Seriously it doesn't matter.

You downloaded a copy of XP from a third party and that copy came with a serial that you had to change and I am willing to bet it has other third party software in it.

You have to stick with your copy and learn to do it for your self.

Ok, it had no third party (warez?) stuff on it, it was all addons or w/e you do with nlite such as notepad++, It's just as legal as a original xp copy being nlited.

also, do you know how to remove SP2 from the original cd?

Ok so I see no included non-freeware software. The main point is EVERY link I found for your "legal" copy comes from warez, bittorent sites and non of them are legit MS distributers.

You can't remove sp2 just use nlite to merge the driver cabs.

1. This is not a warez site! Links/Requests to warez and/or illegal material (porn, cracks, serials, etc..) will not be tolerated. Discussion of circumventing WGA/activation/timebombs/keygens or any other illegal activity will also not be tolerated. You will be banned without notice.

The reason I am being such an a** is they are very close to closing this section of the forum down (nLite area) because too many people here think things like this are OK. They are not.

ok, but isnt ALL nlited versions posted on warez and bittorent sites? my point is, doesnt mean it's illegal aslong as you have purchased a copy of it yourself and proof that you have, such as a license.. I'm not a cheapskate lol

(xp only costs like 50 pounds here, which is basicly 100 dollers, which I earn every few days (newsagent =[))

Actually it says more about nLite than warez. nLite is so simple to use and widely used that "most" warez versions of it have been nLited. Heck alot of the top releases use my program WPI in them too, I am constantly getting asked for help with warez versions out there.

Ok, so eventhough my nlite setup cd has a real serial you still won't help me.. I can understand why, Thanks for you'r time.
