Hi

I'm having problems relocating the 'Documents and Settings' through an unattended installation. I have looked through other posts but none of them seem to answer the question that I need answered.

Essentially I have created a winnt.sif with the following additions under unattended:

ProgramFilesDir=”D:\My Program Files”

CommonProgramFilesDir=D:\My Program Files\My Common Files”

ProfilesDir=”E:\Documents and Settings”

Windows XP Professional installs fine and a 'Program Files' directory is created on D: drive. However 'Documents and Settings' remains on C: drive. I am not getting any error messages. I have also created a couple of accounts and logged on and saved a file to check where it saved to. It was the C: drive.

I am using a virtual machine (VirtualBox) for the installation and there is an E: drive partition that is NTFS formatted.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why it is not relocating 'Documents and Settings'?

Thanks

I found that the answer to this one was very simple but like a lot of simple answers I simply couldn't see it!

I had put the 'ProfilesDir' line under '[unattended]' heading when it actually needed to go under the section '[GuiUnattended]' heading.

This solved the problem.

So I guess what I have learnt from this one is to double check that everything is under the correct heading.
