disk.sys is corrupted

Hi Guys,

been lurking for a while and ive been trying to make a cut down version of XP to build a mame box.

basically all i want is networking and a desktop with my computer... i went though the motions of removing everything unneeded from my xp install, burt an ISO and all.

When i try to install it, windows will launch into its text based installer and fail while its loading drivers.

it fails on disk.sys. The message displayed is "The file disk.sys is corrupted. press any key to continue."

down the bottom in the while toolbar it says "Setup Failed. Press any key to restart your computer."

and it gets stuck on that loop.

I dont know if i removed a bit too much, or if there is something i did wrong.. but basically i tried to do a cut down unattended install...

I did some searching on this and other places, but nothing has come up...

Any ideas?
