how do i add something to the startup?

i have a sidebar i want to automaticly pop up when windows boots the first time. how do i add this. hivesft- tried but it didnt do much

There are various ways. You could add an application shortcut to the Startup folder in your Start Menu automatically, or you could add a link to the application in your Registry under Run or RunOnce if you prefer.
