Long time reader 1st time poster

I have a problem with my 2 computer gigabit network. When copying files from machine A to machine B I only get 15MB/s. When copying from machine B to machine A I get about 50MB/s.

I've tried switching network cables and network adapters and still the same results. Also the results are the same for Windows XP or Vista on machine B.

Machine A: Biostar P4M900M4 mobo||P4 3.4GHz||1GB of Ram||Intel Pro/1000 GT PCI Network Adapter||SATA 3.0Gb/s HDD||Windows Server 2003

Machine B: Abit IP35 Pro mobo||Q6600 4GB of Ram||Intel Pro/1000 PT PCIe Network Adapter||SATA 3.0Gb/s HDD||Dual Boot Windows XP Pro and Windows Vista Ultimate

Router: D-Link DGL-4300

All OS's have the latest updated and both network adapters have the latest drivers.

:blushing: Help Plz!!!

this is strange, check your router config make sure its full duplex, I had that problem here with my father's laptop and so I tried something and switched it to full duplex and it was really fast! So I don't know man, check your router :D

I'm also Cisco certified, and I'm pretty sure its just a human error or your router is bad or something, its also called point of failure, find it! But more than likely its just a human mistake, don't worry I make them all the time :P
