New network connection

Can someone help me as i'm going mad here. Got a bit of an issue with creating a connection with my unattended installation.

I have software on the PC that needs to have a new network connection created. I can't work out what to do to create a new connection though :-(

The new connection just contains the device connection (as in the device its created for) and the IP address.

Unless theres a way of importing this via registry the only way I can see this being possible is by somehow adding the connection?...

This is windows 2000 by the way. Thanks
