"Setup unable to format partition..."

Recommended Posts

I created a riprep image of a Dell GX745 with the standard hardware (Broadcom NIC, Intel Chipset, etc). I included the broadcom drivers in the $oem folder as directed. I am receiving the error message below on all riprep images and not on the the Flat Windows XP images.

The error message I receive occurs after my Riprep image tries to do the quick format:

"Setup was unable to format the parition. The disk may be

damaged."

I hit ESC as directed and the I get a permission error that states:

"Setup cannot set permissions for \device\harddisk0\partition2."

I looked at the event log and I get a BINLSVC EVENT ID 1101. But this indicates that setup has problems parsing the netclass.inf file. I have had NO luck finding a solution to this problem, let alone anything that can point me in the right direction. :realmad: "I"m more lost than Jack, Kate and Hurley!!" :realmad:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. (except "find a new imaging product")
