LIMITED OR NO CONNECTIVITY

Hi all

I just installed xp x64 and I keep getting "limited or no connectivity" and my internet wont work. I have nothing else installed yet except my chipset drivers. Its plugged in with a cable and right into the cable modem. other systems work on this connection point.

In device manager, under Network Adapters, what driver is installed (and what version)?

could possibly start menu\run\cmd.exe and type netstat + enter

What does it say? Just checking if u got tcp at all or not. Checked adsl modem? check the bling bling lights. Firmware update for adsl modem is a good thing.Check if you have UPNP enabled or not. about 2 billion other things you could check, but we cant just list them all... or?
