No Devices shown in device manager

hello. ive been using nlite for a quite a while, but this is first time ive come up with problem i cannot solve.

so - ive slipstreamed sp3 5503 into february eth0 student edition. just little tweaking, removing something that previously didnt cause problems. so after instaling xp, my device manager is empty and i can not instal any drivers.

what could cause this?
