My unattended XP set-up

Afternoon all. I have been following the unattended Windows XP set-up process for about a month now or so and have taken time to create a disc using nLite. I have practiced many times but I will discuss the most recent one.

I have integrated drivers and hotfixes (RyanVM pack) via nLite. It is a full automated installation and is successful. However, there is a major "small annoyance" upon the boot process.

When I switch on my computer and click Internet Explorer it will not straight away load up anything. If I click on my computer icon I get the animation showing that it is browsing. It takes approx. 3 - 4 minutes for the computer to boot up fully into a ready operating environment.

Under normal circumstances the time taken on my computer to switch the power on, click Internet Explorer and load a webpage will take approx. 1 and a half pushing 2 minutes. In which when the system tray icons are fully functional and I click the "Local Area Connection" it reads 00:01:00 exact +/- 5 seconds.

With close inspection I have looked at the "Task Manager" and it loads up 28 processes. 1.5 - 2 minutes later it loads up the rest totaling to 36 processes.

What has caused this delay? Is it the drivers? Could it be the hotfixes? Or is it the way I have installed Windows?

I always install these programmes and drivers when installing Windows "manually" so I do not know why Windows acts so slow with an automatic set-up which I really do love the idea of it, but right now, I am not saving time i.e. I still have to go throught Windows update etc. with a manual install because of the automatic one has poor performance.

Oh yes, I do not tamper with componants, I have tried uninstalling all the "Drivers" in the Windows CD but still no luck.
