satheesh.kgs Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 (edited) To create shortcuts to shutdown, restart and log off in the desktop (Windows XP) follow these steps...1.To Shutdown:In the desktop, Right click ---> Create new shortcut ---> Type: " shutdown -s -t 0" without quotes. Then click finish.. 2.To Restart:In the desktop, Right click ---> Create new shortcut ---> Type: " shutdown -r -t 0" without quotes. Then click finish.. 3.To Logg off:In the desktop, Right click ---> Create new shortcut ---> Type: " shutdown -l -t 0" without quotes. Then click finish.. Then we can change the icon of the particular shortcut by Right click --> properties.. Click on "Change icons" tab at the bottom --> click OK on the message appears, then we may select the icon we want.. We may select the keys to press to do those tricks like "ctrl + Alt + (A to Z)" or function keys (F1 to F12)..Click Apply.. Thats all.. Its done..Cool.. This is easy... Try it...
