Nastius Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I'm wanting to be rid of the program files x86 folder, as far as I know it's not necessary to seperate where the 32 and 64 bit programs are installed. So I asked a buddy and he told me about vlite, said it should do it. I cannot find anything in the program dealing with this issue. Does anyone know how to get rid of this folder and to just have vista install all programs to the Program Files folder?
nuhi Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 vLite provides you with the option to select for removal those components that are in the program files (check which yourself, for example Photo Gallery), but it does not have an option to just remove 32bit version of the component. Something like that was thought about but it looks like we are far away from the 64bit applications, very rare ones are available in that form so if you need program files\component then you need 32bit.
