NukedWhale Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 If the column number in your vlookup formula is a relative reference, it will not correctly update when sorted.i.e. before sort =vlookup(A1,table$B$2:$C$4,A1+1,false)after sort =vlookup(A3,table$B$2:$C$4,A1+1,false) the lookup value properly adjusted itself, while the column number did not
