ryanvillareal Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Hey all,I was wondering if somone could fill me in on this question. I work with a Network that has a few sites, main office site is .26.xx. At the main office site is our exhcnage server, dns, dhcp etc. I have implemented a WDS server and it works a treat. A second site we have is on the sub .43.xx. To make WDS quicker we will be putting another WDS server on that site. My questions is, is there anything aside from the normal configuration on the second WDS server that i have to consider? Or if i implement it will all the clients know to look there when recieving an image. Do options 66 and 67 have to be enabled in the DHCP?Thanks for any/all help.Ryan
ryanvillareal Posted March 5, 2008 Author Posted March 5, 2008 Hmmm.. no one knows hey.Does anyone know how to transfer images from WDS server to another? When i export images from the first server and then add an install image on the second server using the exported image i get error messeges sayin "the system can not find the specified file". Any help would be appreciated
PC_LOAD_LETTER Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 does site #2 have its own DHCP? if it does then you would have to set it up similar to site #1 if it shares the dhcp, i dont know if you could use a second server or not.
ryanvillareal Posted March 5, 2008 Author Posted March 5, 2008 Hey Geek,No the DHCP is located at head office. Only a file server resides at site #2.Thanks for the reply (Y)Ryan
