tiffin
Hi all.I've just signed up to HMV.COM to try and download some tracks. I downloaded the digital download manager ok, but when it came down to downloading the music, this error message popped up.ERROR CHECKING MACHINE DRM STATUS - A PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED IN RETRIEVING THE DIGITAL RIGHTS MANAGEMENT MACHINE IDENTIFICATION. Anyone know how to fix this, as I can't download anything until it's fixed. Regards. Dave.
cluberti
It looks like they're using the WMV format, and you have a problem with Windows Media Player on your machine similar to this one.
tiffin
Thanks for the reply.I've looked at that error message you posted before, and wasn't to keen on the part that said WARNING. I'll get in touch with WM support, and see what they have to say, and then I'll get back in touch, if I get an aswer.Regards. Dave.
tiffin
That link you suggested did the trick. Well done. Once I'd deleted the files from the DRM folder I was able to download from the HMV web site. And I got my music.Kind Regards. Dave.
