NLITE.INI file on I386 folder? / Safe complete removal of I.E.?

Hi

After resizing my windows' setup, i found a compressed file located in I386 folder of my setup cd named nlite.in_ . I would like to have some info on this, what's it's use and if it's safe to erase it. I would also like to have some info on competely removing internet explorer from my installation, since i use mozilla firefox.
