I'm setting up a new server, (first one),

but I'm having a little problem.

I created a test account (normal domain user) in a domain enviroment,

whenever I log on to the domain with this account, I have no permission

to the C:\program files and C:\ windows directory.

What am I missing ?

You won't have permissions to these folders as a normal user. You're not supposed to.

You can either make the user an Administrator/Server Operator - or you can modify the permissions on the folder.

What role is the server supposed to have? Do you really want ordinary domain users to be able to write files to c:\Program Files and c:\Windows?

Bit of a stability and security risk, surely?
