Nlite 1.4.1: Bug?

Hi,

I ran into a problem with Nlite 1.41. I'm trying to set up a XP installation CD with the Post SP2 Kbs, to skip the hassle of dowloading 80+ Kbs when starting my freshly installed XP.

I got the Microsoft KBs from Microsoft Update Catalog, put them in a folder.

I then started Nlite, selected the KBs, my drivers and launch the thing.

And then , for every Kb Nlite which Nlite tries to integrate I get a little popup windows like this:

(E:\temp\coxy is the folder where I copied the files from my XP CDROM)

nlite10.jpg

Ok, seems something is wrong , but what???? If you don't tell me more, won't be easy to find, guy!!!

Fo information, if I click Ok, Nlite continues until the next Kbs.

After saying Ok for all of them, Nlite continues till the end of the process.

As the is no logfile, I have no idea if my hotfixes are well integrated or not.

Installed version 1.3.5 , try the same: no error at all......

Hm weird indeed. I don't put such clueless messages into the error popups.

Could be the extract/compress control that is not sending the proper error message.

I tried the hotfix shown in your progress bar and it worked fine, unfortunately.

If your nLite or CD files path has non-ACSII characters, like French special characters, then try moving the Hotfix, nLite and CD files each to their own folder named something simple like:

c:\hotfixes

c:\nlite

c:\xp cd
