Press Shift+10 during the GUI portion of setup will bring dos window. use xcopy /S i386 C:\i386 to copy setup files to hard disk. Again press the same to bring up dos window and type regedit to go in to registry to change the source path. please be aware that installation will change back the source path again for some reason which i do not know. So it is advisable to change after completing the installation. Hope it helps.

You can run a cmd file at the t-39 portion of setup to copy the files to the hard drive. And then later afterwards set the registry key. See the guide on DetachedProgram which is part of the winnt.sif answer file.
