PE2.0 Reduced size fails to load network

I built a WinPE 2.0 image, using the standard commands from Windows AIK:

1. copype to a folder

2. mounted PE image

3. installed WMI

4. Installed Scripting

5. Executed peimg /prep

6. Unmounted

7. Opened Winpe.wim using imagex /apply

8. Closed Winpe.wim using imagex /capture /boot /compress max

The result was a Winpe image that wheighs about 100MB.

When loading this image on a computer with 512MB, it is working fine.

When loading this image on a computer with 256MB, there is no network, the network drivers fail to load.

Anyone have ideas?

Document claims I need 100MB more then the Image.

I would expect that they mean 100 Mbyte more than the uncompressed image. Therefore i belive you are running out of ram anyway
