Featured Replies

I have a windows 2000 retail cd with no service pack that I am attempting to slipstream with sp4

I used the /s switch on update.exe

but for some reason, the prodspec.ini wont update the information to say ServicePackNumber=4

how does windows setup use this file, what is its perpose, and is there a problem with my slipstreaming, why isnt it upgrading....

thank you

Vinny

That's normal. Prodspec isn't used to determine the service pack level, not anymore. My SP4 install for both server and pro also have ServicePackNumber=0.
