twilliamsen
Great forum didn't realize that so many features and tweaks for unattended installs.I have a few questions.I run an office of about 800 computers, all Dell. All I have are the Dell reinstall CDs which are already activated. Some of our CDs have SP2 and the other don't. I have tried nLite already with the SP2 Dell CD with the updates slipstreamed and I get an error message of "winlogon process has failed" after setup copies the files and reboots.Questions:1. Can I use these Dell CDs for an unattended installs?2. If I cannot use the Dell CD's I do have access to an OEM version with SP1, but I am curious about activation and how to bypass this3. $OEM$ folder, what is this for? I know it gets copied in the last stage of the text install, but does it execute the applications that are in there, or does it just copy the files?4. I am looking for a beginner's guide step by step for idiots to do these. Thanks!
