Hi all,

I had created an unattended Windows's setup CD using Nlite 1.31 few weeks ago .

The only options that had been editted by my were:

1. Integrated CD-Key

2. Intel SATA\Chipset Drivers for 965 ( otherwise the installation wont recognize the HDD )

3. Another User except of the Administrator

now, When Im trying to fix this installation with the same CD that it had been installed from, The OS is not

recognized .

When Im say "fix" I mean that the repair option that usually appears in the third option in the windows's setup (when running the original disc, not the Unattended one) .

I assumed that the OS was deeply corrupted so I did a clean Windows installation from my unattended CD .

Just after the Installation, I had tried to repair it ( just for checking ) using the unattended CD but again, the repair option didnt appear, usually means that the OS system that already installed is not the same as the installation's version .

I tried to repair it with the origianl Windows installation but again, the repair option didnt appear.

So now I have 2 questions:

1. Do nlite cancel the Repair option for windows or it is something that I can enable\disable ?

2. Is it possible to create an unattended installation disc, with integrated drivers only ?

I mean all the original setup properties will remains the same, except for the fact that the new SATA drivers will

be recognized ?

Using repair is not available on an unattended cd.

So what about merging SATA driver only in the setup CD ? is it possible with the repair option enabled ?

If you use a direct integration method that does not need an answer file (winnt.sif) then yes. or you can use the F6 floppy method to add additional drivers to a cd without an answer file.
