hi... since SP1 final build 18000 is out, i am trying to update 2 PCs. Both have different features removed like:

- sidebar

- windows mail

both PCs fail with a call to exactly these features:

This is known issue. Do a search and you'll find quite a bit of discussion about the matter. You need an image with SP1 already installed *before* you use vLite.

Incidentally, SP1 is not yet final. It probably will not be final for several more weeks. I'm aware that there are a few torrents floating around claiming to be the final copy, but they simply aren't. It may or may not be a new build, but it isn't final yet.

It may or may not be final but one of the exes floating out there is the real 18000, something which hasn't even been released to testers. They only got a WU release of one version of 18000 according to a friend and not the actual exe bits.

build 1800 is final, i can confirm this 100%... and the fact that final is already out, but not for testers... i have both the x64 and x32 versions (and not from torrents )

a slipstreamed version of vista with SP1 will take some time though, since integration has not been built into the package.
