pest Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 (edited) I downloaded the most recent version of Vlite this morning. I am trying to install it on an Acer Aspier 5610z laptop. The laptop did not come with any disks. I have run the utility to create a system default DVD disc. I have set windows to show hidden and operating system files in the folders. I try to run vlite and is asks me to browse to the vista installation directory or files but I can not find it. Where is it hidden? I've tried looking both on the hard drive and on the the two DVD's that I burned.I'm running Vista Home premium. Edited January 28, 2008 by pest

My laptop came from from the store pre-loaded with Vista Home Premium but did not come with actual disks. I have used the Acer utility to make both CD and DVD backups. Edited January 28, 2008 by pest
MagicAndre1981 Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 but those DVD from Acer are unusable with vLite. You need a clean DVD from MS, sorry.
