d_jones Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Hi,We are currently rolling out about 500 identical PC's, each with it's own Kyocera standalone laser printer. The image for the pc's including auto SID'ing and domain joining etc works perfeclty but I'm getting really annoyed at not been able to find a solution to the printers. The printer is installed and all trays are setup etc. Once another PC has been imaged it finds the printer again (asks for drivers etc) even though it's an identical printer model and in an identical USB port.Any top tips on getting around this? Thanks in advance.
IcemanND Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 It will always find a new USB device when deploying a new image, doesn't matter if it is the same port or not. Especially if you have syspreped the image. If you get two in the printers folder try installing the printer, so that the drivers are in the image but then delete the printer from the printers folder. But leave the drivers behind if it asks if you want to delete it. Then image and deploy and see if it works.
