LSSAS.exe ?

Featured Replies

Hi all !!

Every time I log on I get the question if I would like to run the file lssas.exe, from an unknown publisher. Of course I do not want to run it, so I press Cancel button.

What is this ? Is it the old Sasser or what ??

I have run the sasser removal tool from Symantec, in safe mode. It said it could not find anything.

I have run Spybot, and fixed what it proposed to fix.

I have run trough the whole system with Norton antivirus, without anything found.

The system is XP Home SP2, Dell Dimension.

Very, VERY grateful for any help.

Thanks

Mostly its a virus, cause windows service named lsass.exe, and its from microsoft so its will not give a warning about unknown publisher, try to run any up to date anti virus and anti spyware.
