Yes, I already have been reading through google searches for a good day now.

To make a long story short I had removed the Computer browser service during my build. I really didn't think I would need it up until I shuffled some hardware around.

I am also unable to run sfc due to my setup.

Has anyone encountered this and fixed it? I really need to be able to connect to remote shares and would prefer not having to rebuild the system.

According to the nLite FAQ, removed components cannot be added afterwards anymore, which would mean that you will have to rebuild.

Try going to the Local Area Connection properties and adding Client for Microsoft Networks and the File and Print Sharing service.
