Guest hwmt Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 (edited) I recently used nLite to make a customized installation of Windows XP, but there is one tweak I selected accidentally. It is: "Disable tracking of most used programs" (in tweaks menu under privacy)Because of this, there's no list of commonly used programs in the start menu (it's just a white space).I've already tried editing the registry using the following instructions, but it did not fix the problem:Delete the NoStartMenuMFUprogramsList & NoInstrumentation values in the following keys:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ ExplorerHKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ ExplorerIs there any other possible way for me to fix this without requiring a reinstall? r3incarnat0r Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 To revert the tweak, merge a *.REG file with this content:Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]"NoInstrumentation"=-"NoStartMenuMFUprogramsList"=-[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\UserAssist\Settings]"NoEncrypt"=-"NoLog"=-
