luke.mccormick Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 What does vista actually do to detect whether or not a computer is connected to the internet (When you get a globe on the connection icon in the notification area) Does it just detect whether there is a gateway connected and online? Does it ping an IP? does it do an nslookup of an external domain? What exactly is going on here?
