Download a bootscreen from one of the theme sites (suggestions at end) [ the files are usually .zip]2. Backup the file %windir%system32ntoskrnl.exe [example: C:windowssystem32ntoskrnl.exe]3. Extract ntoskrnl.exe to a directory other than %windir%system32 [Example: C:BootScreens] 4. Restart your computer into Safe Mode (hit F8 before the boot screen)5. Replace the original file %windir%system32ntoskrnl.exe with the new boot screen one 6. Restart your computerHere are some small bootscreen site suggestions.
