Stigern Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 (edited) Yes. Seems like nlite cannot put the sata drivers into my xp. Well, it's not working. Funny thing is my old xp package got these drivers, but I did it manually some years ago.XP only says it cannot continue due to no hd`s found. The driver I'm adding is: Si3114r5.infTried both PNP and Text mode, no luck with those. Now I'm tired, and with 6 failed CD-R disks in the garbage. So I thought this time it was time to try nlite. But had no success with it so far. Anyone who tried adding these sata drivers with success? Edited January 1, 2008 by Stigern

Anyone who tried adding these sata drivers with success?Although you have added some details, you should give some more informations regarding your system (mainboard name, RAID/non-RAID) and the drivers you tried to integrate. Stigern Posted January 1, 2008 Author Posted January 1, 2008 Win XP sp2; This INF file installs the Silicon Image Serial ATA Raid 5 driver; for the SiI 3114 controller on systems running Windows 2000, and Windows XP.No erros in nLite, only the error in windows, that it cannot find any HDDs.
Fernando 1 Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 (edited) Win XP sp2; This INF file installs the Silicon Image Serial ATA Raid 5 driver; for the SiI 3114 controller on systems running Windows 2000, and Windows XP.No erros in nLite, only the error in windows, that it cannot find any HDDs.So you have a RAID5 array and tried to integrate the Sil3114 RAID drivers as PnP drivers? That will never work! You have to integrate the drivers as TEXTMODE drivers. Edited January 1, 2008 by Fernando 1
Stigern Posted January 1, 2008 Author Posted January 1, 2008 (edited) I've tried both text and PNP.None of them succeeded.Oh, works now. got the 112r driver. Edited January 1, 2008 by Stigern
Fernando 1 Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 (edited) I've tried both text and PNP.None of them succeeded. That's what you have already written and I remarked, that it it is useless to integrate these drivers as PnP when you have a Sil3114 RAID.Once more my questions:1. Which mainboard do you have?2. Do you really have created a Sil3114 RAID array? If yes, is it "healthy" and set as bootable?3. Have you set the RAID as first bootable hard disk within your mainboard BIOS (HARD DISK BOOT PRIORITY option)?4. Which driver package did you try to integrate (I don't need the name of the INF file) and where did you get it from?UPDATE:I just have seen the sentence you have edited after having seen this post:Oh, works now. got the 112r driver.Fine, that you succeeded now after having taken the correct Sil3112 drivers.Do you remember your first post? Here is your statement:Seems like nlite cannot put the sata drivers into my xp. Well, it's not working. So it was not nLite's mistake, that you didn't succeeed with the XP installation.Final notice: It was not easy to help you, because you always added new informations into your previous posts while or after I have answered.
