manual installation of large fonts (120 dpi)?

Featured Replies

I accidently removed large fonts (120 dpi) from my nLited version of Win XP. After installing windows and customizing everything of the computer, I was told that large font support was essential for the person... (neither 96dpi nor 120dpi appears in the display settings).

Is there a way to manually install this feature in Windows XP pro?

Also, generally speaking, when a feature has been removed with nLite, is there any way to just reinstall that feature on a computer where Windows has already been installed? (something like just checking the feature in nLite, put it on a disk and add it to the installed computer).

I haven't identified which removed component caused this problem yet. I have found that the problem is with the font.inf file. I copied and paste the inf file from another computer as well as all fonts. The 120dpi option is now selectable but I I get an error message: [translation following this message]

"modifier le paramètre PPP. Le programme d'installation de Windows n'a pas modifié les paramètres demandés. Vous ne disposez peut-être pas des privilèges requis pour installer ou désintaller de nouveaux fichiers ou pilotes. Contactez votre administrateur."

Translation: "Modify DPI settings. Windows installation program can't modify required parameters. You might not have required privileges to install or remove new files or drivers. Contact your administrator."

I am logged as a user with administrative rights. Some other file must be missing but I can't find which.

Anybody has an idea?
