tthibodeau
I've been trying to link up my XBox 360 with my music collection via Windows Media Player 11's media sharing capabilities. Every time I try to start media sharing, I get the following System Event in Event Viewer:A new media server was not initialized because WMCreateDeviceRegistration() encountered error '0xc00d2711'. The Windows Media DRM components on your computer might be corrupted. Verify that protected files play correctly in Windows Media Player, and then restart the WMPNetworkSvc service.I usually tick off a few Media Player privacy tweaks in nLite, so I'm pretty sure that's the culprit. I tried Media Sharing on a VM without any nLite customizations and everything works fine.I haven't narrowed down which nLite settings are causing this, I just thought I'd mention this in case others were having problems with media sharing.I don't even know if I care that much because the media capabilities on the XBox 360 pale in comparison to XBMC for XBox. I just really would like high definition video. Edited December 30, 2007 by tthibodeau
tthibodeau
Note: I have already tried the usual fixes for a corrupt DRM database (deleting the contents of the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM folder), but nothing works. This is why I suspect the nLite tweaks.
