Effect of removing WMP and Windows Media Player 6.4?

Hi,

can someone tell me the effect of removing WMP and Windows Media Player 6.4?

Do I need to preserve any files to play songs and videos if I use K-Lite Codec Pack?

Dont... im not a professional here, but as much as i have tryed removing microsoft compononets from windows - its always ended with catastrophy. Once i killed IE6 (no 7 back then). The result was that some administration screens didnt show up, because they used HTML and IE6 to display. Then i once removed some explorer related components with nLite - explorer became unstable and there were graphical "clitches".

The problem is that Windows stuff are integrated in various weird ways you might not imagine.

Just use the "hide icons" method.
