WMP Help!

Hey everyone i have just recently installed a moded version of XP specifically to look like vista, it features things like the gui and WMP which are similar to vista's. The about in the WMP says its 11. Anyway i am having a problem when accessing media files of anytime including movies (avi, wmv etc) and music (mp3, wav etc) they play fine as long as there the first to be played (wmp isn't open when i double click them) but when attempting to play them when another file is playing, paused or stopped it will just add to the playlist and wait until the current playing is finished before it plays it. I have searched google and many forums for answers as well as looking all over the options in wmp as its all similar to wmp 10. Any ideas or help? I have tried a few registry edit commands with /open and /play but i have had no luck. Accessing the file right click > open it will play it straight away while right click > play just ads it to the playlist.

Check the "Tool /Folders Options / Files Types" menu in Explorer, make sure there is no "/add" in the line that handles the AVI files (C:\...\mplayer.exe...) etc. You could also set the "open" as default instead of "play" so that it becomes bold when you right-click.

There might be an option in WMP11 but you say you searched. And I don't have WMP.

Open reads as the following:

"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" /prefetch:6 /Open "%L"

Both open and play don't have /add in there and i have already tried setting Open to default but it still just ads it to the playlist.

They don't seem to hold any changes that i make to them... weird.
