Hi. I have this problem wih my laptop. Many times, when I come to shut down, this window comes up telling me that Property is unable to close. After I click the END NOW button, nothing happens. I try to shut it once more but the same thing happens again. Then I would have to shut it down from the power button. Can you help me please? It's driving em nuts...

I have a Windows XP Home edition version 2002 with service pack 2.

Also, does this happen if you try to shutdown after logging in? How about safe mode? You may want to run msconfig and disable all the startup items. If that resolves the issue, just re-enable them one by one until the problem returns. If msconfig doesn't kill the problem it's most likely a service causing your grief.
