STOP: 0x000000CE during text mode install on AHCI enabled motherboard

Hi !

I got a STOP: 0x000000CE error during the text mode part of the install with a fully unattended nlite'd xp pro x86 cd on an asus AHCI enabled motherboard.

I've slipstreamed all the intel textmode drivers (all of them to be able to install on ICH7/ICH8/ICH9 motherboards with the same cd) using nlite.

I just boot on the cd, the install searches for hard drives, can't find any drive, then BSOD with a STOP: 0x000000CE error.

Any idea what went wrong ?

There have been many posts about this.

Integrate only the one HDD driver that you really need as textmode and select the correct SATA/RAID mode.

For instance ICH6...9 SATA non RAID:

-insert iastor.inf and then select your controller

txtsetup.oem needs to be present in the same driver folder
