Mortagen Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Hi, I'm just wondering if it is possible... and if so how... to modify the windows 2000 progress bar on the boot screen. Can i load in my own custom made .bmp which uses the same 16 color palette as the rest of the boot image? Thanks!Regards, Mortagen

The embedded bitmaps i modified with it and saved in the patching dirs. Now i loaded in the reshacker (the one XPero uses) the files and put them into copies of the orgininal ntoskrnl file to test that. After that i build the patching as needed for my pack. Then i reverted the Kernel file and tried the patch via my pack! Edited November 25, 2007 by ChrisKuhli
Mortagen Posted November 26, 2007 Author Posted November 26, 2007 I've made a 16 color 640x480 boot image and replaced the original via a res hacker... just need to know how to swap out the old progress bad for a new one i made plus how to reposition the progress bar. Please help me out Thanks!Regards, Mortagen
ChrisKuhli Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 (edited) Do you have a sample e.g. from my pack or from the Vistapack? I could upload one but onto my "cX2K" space if you wish...The image must be a little bit special for Windows 2000 and can't be in the normal format of Windows XP! If you see the original via reshacker extracted you see what i mean!EDIT: Have a look:Customized Windows 2000 Bootlogo Edited November 27, 2007 by ChrisKuhli
