Excel VBS

Hi Guys,

I would love to work on this however i have NFI howto and no where near enough time to sit down and look into this in depth.

What i have done in past jobs is created reports on whats happening at this point in time in our offices for management to see the pretty colours and be happy.

What i would like to do.

I have a spread sheet that i send out with all our current information and status's in it.

I have a worksheet called Data$ with Hostnames of devices i want to check.

I have a worksheet called Live Status which i want the status's inserted into.

Data$ is a shared worksheet as range

A1:A25 are hostnames

C1:C20 are misc other data

Is there a way to run the ping or somesuch command from excel and return these results to the Live Status sheet?

Like i said, no biggy but if anyone has an idea it would be most appreciated.
