what is up with vista's sound?

Things sound more hollow now. I'm not a sound guy so I wouldn't know what to change to make it sound like on winxp. I first installed the Audigy 2 ZS driver through windows update then I installed the driver package from Creative hoping that would fix the hollow sound.

which driver did you try? i am running an audigy 2 Zs with no trouble at all

try the driver from here http://uk.europe.creative.com/support/downloads/ that is the one i am currently using with no troubles at all

Turned out it was the ffdshow I was using. Weird because I used this same ffdshow version in WinXP...
