Media Center Starting Randomly

Hello,

I'm having a rather strange problem with Media Center. Periodically it starts on its own (i.e. without me starting it / putting in a dvd / changing anything that i can tell). In all other respects my computer seems to be operating normally. It happens during all different types of activities (gaming, word processing, etc.) and so far I have been unable to find any reason for it to do this or anyone else who has had this happen.

Anyone out there heard of this or have any ideas??

Is it possible that there's some hotkey or key shortcut that opens media center? For example, some dells with XP MCE have a button to launch media center, you could be bumping something like that.

Thanks for the reply. Thats something I considered as well, however this also happens when I am not at my computer/haven't hit any keys for a while.

For example, when I returned home yesterday afternoon (having left my computer on), Media Center was open. It opened three more times through the course of the evening. Once while playing Bioshock, the others while working on a school project in Word/ online in Firefox.

Specs: HP Pavillion/Athlon X2 4600/2 GB Ram/XFX GeForce 7950/Windows XP MCE

Well, next I would recommend checking these things:

1. People who think they're funny and are doing this themselves, i.e. by using the remote or something (not very likely)
   
2. Malware. Check for viruses, spyware, trojans, etc. Not sure why they would do this, but it sounds like something they could/would do.
