Dunderflute Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 I get this error no matter what I try to do to fix it. I read what other people on the forum have done to eliminate this error but none of these methods work in my case.I tried setting disabling read-only on the folder and all sub-folders of the cd files (copied to my hard drive first), I tried changing the temp directory/resetting to default, I tried rebooting (many times), and deleting the two files in the system32/drivers folder. My computer has last updated with the Autopatcher up through June.I installed XP vanilla as a Virtual PC, installed SP2, and .NET 3.0. I copied the same cd folder I used and the same vlite folder and everything works fine.I'll make a copy of this Virtual PC image and see if installing windows updates breaks it.
Dunderflute Posted November 1, 2007 Author Posted November 1, 2007 (edited) I installed all of the updates up until August 2007 using AutoPatcher on my Virtual PC Windows XP and vLite still works fine. I don't know how to reproduce this error. It's nice that I can finally make my slimmed Vista iso but it's not convenient to have to do it through Virtual PC. Edited November 1, 2007 by Dunderflute
