touchstone
I reinstalled XP from scratch from the same CD after formatting the same partition once again with NTFS and when everything is done, my new Recycle Bin is again filled with what I had thrown in there last time in the previous copy of Win XP. *grrrr*What the heck!!!!! What was that reformat?
Drewdatrip
How did you reformat? The only way to wipe your drives clear, is to go through the dos prompt. The correct way to do this is to restart with a 98 startup disk in the A: drive...strat the computer without cd rom support and type "format c:" this will clear the drive. then you can boot form the XP Cd-rom. and format your drive in NTFS. This will give a new clean drive with a format that Xp is ment to run on.goodluck-drew
