Join Domain in Configuration Pass

Featured Replies

Hi,

A little background information, in our environment we would create a base Ghost image with all the applications with sysprep and then a technician would Ghost down the image and configure the system customizing the system to the individual user.

I was wondering if it's possible to join the computer to the domain in one of the configuration passes. Right now we have it to join the domain from a script on the FirstLogonCommands but I would like to join to the domain in a more seamless solution. Previously the domain join was easily achieved in Windows XP through the Mini-Setup. I was wondering if there was something like that in Windows Vista?

Thanks in advance.

No one has any idea?

This was much easier in Windows XP, why did Microsoft decide to take this functionality away?
