Help me solve Office Word 2003 problem ?

I have just had a problem with Office Word 2003 and Windows XP SP2.

One day ago, everything was normal, but today when using Word 2003, it appreard an error: I opened a .doc file and used it well, but when I minimize it's window and restore again, I couldn't use the mouse to click anywhere in the text and couldn't select a line or a paragraph for formatting...

I test in Tools > Options > Edit and option "Enable click and type" was checked.

That error only had when I minimize Word's window & restore it again.

Besides, I could open only one Word's window, couldn't open many window at the same time.

I tried some methods below, but couldn't solve the problem:

- I restored a backup with Acronis True Image.

- I uninstalled Office 2003 and reinstall again

- I uninstalled Office 2003 and installed OfficeXP

Somebody can help me ? Thanks !

That doesn’t make sense at all; the only thing changed in your configuration is time... Are you restoring only one drive of few drives?

I have 3 partition: Partition C (with Windows XP), partition D (with Windows 2K3) and partition E (DATA). All of them are formatted in NTFS. And when I restored image with True Image, I did with 2 partitions C and D.

Okay, then it makes sense to me again. There must be something that has modified your documents, try a good antivirus program and scan the data drive...

Thanks for reply. I used Kaspersky updated latest but nothing changed.

Then I delete "normal.dot" in %SystemRoot%\Documents and Settings\Account_Name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\ and restart Word again with it's default settings. And now, everything is better :D

Thanks so much !
