[Windows XP] 'saves settings' hang + addon

I've made this addon:

When I integrate this as addon nLite accept's it just fine, but when installing the generated ISO, the setup hangs at 'saves settings', as reported quite a few times before.

I just figured out that the problem is 'solved' when I turn off SFC.

Any clues to a 'real' solution?
