Guest Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Hello all, I stumbled across this site and wondered how I missed it all these years.I have no doubt this is one of the best websites for dedicated Windows users on the 'net. There are other good sites but most seem to be run by dedicated fellow computing-addicts with scant resources.I am amazed by the plethora of offerings here, that is why I wonder how I somehow missed it. I haven't spent much time here yet, but I'm like a kid by himself in a candy store--I have problems deciding what to sample first.Because I was pursuing utility applications, I paused long enough to download the object of my search, updated my profile and jumped in here.I am sure the staff will not mind an oledawg sniffing around, looking for information, advice and of course, utilities. As far as the forum goes, I promise to stay away from political discourse, if any exists here, because in my forty-some years of computing I have encountered far too many adversaries. By the way, I am a conservative who believes in the ideals espoused by our founding fathers and Federalism as defined by Jefferson and Adams, et al.I sincerely hope I am not perceived as an elitist, but instead a rambling high-school dropout oledawg with a fondness for verbosity. Since this introductory post more than illustrates this tendency, I am ending before I make more of a fool of myself.See ya around.
mark Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 plethora, political discourse, espoused, verbosityYou are correct in what topic to avoid. You'll find the rest of the rules but I'm guessing you probably have read them already. If not please do so.Three big words in one post. <DL watches oledawg warily>I think your knowledge will be of more importance than the education you lack or have, depending on how you look at it.Welcome to MSFN oledawg.DL
