malefrancesfarmer Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 I'm using the FileZilla server addon on my XP Pro x86 system with DSL. I went to the suggested ftp test site at www.g6ftpserver.com/en/test and my server passed the Regular transmission test but keeps flunking SSL authentication. The error message I get is that my SSL version is unrecognized. I've tried generating keys at all three available encryption levels and nothing has worked. Please help.My logs are available for those who want to look at them.
nuhi Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Just guessing have you removed or disabled the HTTP SSL service?Maybe it requires some other service too. If you didn't remove anything then try to search for the solution elsewhere.
malefrancesfarmer Posted October 8, 2007 Author Posted October 8, 2007 Oops. When I was building my install CD with nlite one of the components I did remove was HTTP SSL service. I relied on the little sidebar blurb that says "SSL works fine without it," but I'm not blaming you for anything. Is there any way to put the HTTP SSL service back into my system without rebuilding the install CD, or maybe to add it to the CD as a hotfix and burn it again? Thanks.
nuhi Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 If you confirm that it was the case then I'll modify the description. There could be a way if you have an access to another machine with the same os since this is a simple service.Let me know if that is the case and I'll tell you what to copy from there. I'm on Vista at the moment and it doesn't have that service.Or just load the preset (import last session.ini from that cd) with the clean installation files, adjust and reinstall.
