animous Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Hi,Sorry if this has been answered already, but a quick search through the forums didn't find me anything..I've been using a stripped down install of Vista for a month or two now thanks to vlite. Great stuff! The only problem I've run into is that because I did not install Internet Explorer, I cannot use Help in most applications. What happens when I select "Help" is that a firefox "File download" window pops up asking me if I want to save an .htm file. This also happens in Outlook in the today screen, etc.Is there any way to get this to work without installing IE? I'd really rather do without it.If not, is there any way to install IE without doing an install from scratch? Thanks!
jamieo Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Remove IE but keep HTML Engine. This is noted in the component descriptions I think...
animous Posted September 25, 2007 Author Posted September 25, 2007 Argh.. looks like I did remove it. Is there any way to insert it in the current install without having to install from scratch? [crosses fingers]Thanks.
